WELCOME STANLEY WILDCATS!
My name is Jill Schutzler and I am excited to once again be the PTO President for the 2019-2020 school year. I will have all three of my boys at Stanley this year; my oldest will be in fifth grade, my middle son will be in second grade and my youngest will be in first grade. In my former life I was a Blue Valley elementary school teacher for many years before my boys were school age. I am looking forward to working on “the other side” of things during my years at Stanley.
THANK YOU for visiting our PTO website. I welcome you to explore all of the information contained in this site. This is where you will find the most current information on what is happening with the Stanley PTO. I know Stanley families are used to getting their information from the Stanley website, the two Facebook pages and the weekly email newsletter, so we ask that the website be one more go-to source for PTO news and events.
Our goal as a PTO is to enrich the environment for our children, staff and school community. Parent and family volunteers are an integral part of all of our events. Regardless of whether you have limited availability or lots of time to share, we have a volunteer spot for you! The signup link is active and ready to accept volunteers of all capacities. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b094aabae2da02-20192020
As the PTO for the school, we support the students and staff in a variety of ways throughout the school year. The following is a list of ongoing projects we are proud to be able to provide for Stanley.
* Back to School Kona Ice for the students
* Sweetheart Dance
* Mother Son Event
* Movie Night
* Author visits
* Staff Appreciation meals and snacks
* Funding for school improvements
* Grants for teacher requested classroom materials
* Book Fair (buy one get one sale)
* Various Raffles throughout the year
* Ongoing technology upgrades
Of course, this is just a small sampling, as each year we try to expand our support in as many ways as possible for our staff and students.
Each family is asked to support the PTO through a $25 donation. Your donation allows you access to discounted pricing throughout the year on tickets, spirit wear and event pricing. PTO donations are paid once a year and 100% of your tax deductible donation stays in Blue Valley for our staff and students.
Please don't ever hesitate to contact me or any of the board members if you have any questions or concerns. We will do our best to keep you updated with what is happening within our PTO and our school.
I look forward to working with everyone and meeting lots of new families this year!
